Viy's Cavern

Introduction

Kia ora! I'm Viy (pronounced 'vai' as in VI-olet).
I'm a teenage girl from New Zealand. You can call me by any pronouns except 'it'.

Interests

I'm interested in programming (game development and competitive programming) and art (digital art and photography).
I also like playing games (Minecraft) and reading (my favourite books are ones with non-humanoid mcs and a strong narrative voice... if you know any, lmk!).
Some other things that I do which I am not very passionate about include dance and music (composing + flute and a bit of piano).
Some things I want to do include creative writing, app creation and not procrastinating.
I used to be into Warriors and Wings Of Fire! I still keep up with WoF books but have dropped Warriors (seriously, don't you think 100+ books is a good place to end a series?).

Preferences

Here are some things that I like so you can get a better idea of me:

Blue and purple (esp dark blue and light purple)
Cats and dragons (I have my own species that's pretty much a mix of these and whatever other creatures... they are called Drauxes!)
Birds. I love birds such as the European goldfinch or Australian white ibis.
The sky... dawn, dusk, day, or night, cloudy or clear, they are all cool!
'Nostalgic' stuff (early internet aesthetic, low quality videos of a bright sunny day... I wasn't aware back then so it's not true nostalgia)
The music artist, Sleeping At Last (Pretty much the only music artist I listen to. My current favourite song is Bright Sadness... it makes me sad)
Dark stuff (abyss, space, void, stars, nebula, shadows... yes I'm in my edgy stage of life)

UGABS

Project I did for Horizons. It's basically a simulation of moving cells on a grid, with customisable algorithms, colours, and border types. Still a work in progress.

Sound Waves

Game I made with a friend for a game jam! I did the code and my friend did the art.

Firefly Grove

Upcoming project that I am making for school (digitech + art design). It's a puzzle game centered around plants.
